Manhatten Flower Embossing folder -variations 1-4

Stampin' Up has done it again. I keep thinking I really have everything that I could possibly need to stamp for the rest of my life and BAM! they bring this Manhatten Flowers Textured Impressions Die and of course I have to have it. do you blame me?

#1- This is as simple as it can be. Texture the pink pirouette cardstock with the Big shot using the embossing folder instructions- it's the same if you have the cuttlebug -same sandwich as your other embossing folders. The words are from Friendly Words stampin' wheel- more about that in another post. Layered onto black CS then tied with new organza ribbon and onto a pink pirouette base and voila! and elegant and easy card.

#2 this is a trifold card using the same embossing folder. Score 12x 5 1/2 inch cardstock at 4 1/4 and 8 1/2 from the left along the long ways to make a trifold. The right piece will be a little shorter and that's OK.

Texture the left panel with the folder as shown.

Texture the right side panel as shown. You will have a positive on one side and negative on the other.

Cut a smaller white panel for the inside and stamp with coordinating ink- her saffron using Fifth Avenue Floral- I love how everything coordinates!
I cut out the tops of the flowers to make it more interesting.

Close up the card and you get a trifold like this.
Tie up with a ribbon- here with white taffeta and again, a simple little card that looks like it took you hours to make!

#3 This is what it looks like when you emboss vellum carstock and use watercolor crayon to color from behind it. You don't need to be too careful, I just moved the aqua painter around the back. I used red on the left side and coral on the right and stamped birthday wishes in black. Again tied using organza ribbon. Simple and elegant.

#4. This is another easy technique of coloring directly on the embossing folder with your classic ink pad - here I used regal rose - to get even coverage.

This is what the pink pirouette CS looks like after I rolled it through the Big Shot.
The dye ink washes really easy off the folder with just water.

This is the card I made using the flowers cut out from above. The sentiment is from Elegant Cheer set. It was stamped in basic brown onto pink pirouette CS. I cut out the top and the bottom of the flowers- and as challenged I am with the paper snips, these were really fast and easy. I taped 2 strips of kiwi striped ribbon as an accent and mounted it all onto regal rose as shown. I thought it was lovely. I hope you do too. Have fun with your textures impressions die folders!
