Wonderful Romance

This is another set that is retiring at the end of this month- I thought for sure with all the delicate detailed dies they would keep it another season but no!
I love the leaves with the lattice that makes such a beautiful edging.
the Lemon- Lime twist cardstock is already gone!
You could use other combinations of green.

Base is Lemon lime twist with a layer of 5 1/4x 4 inch whisper white in the inside to show off the pretty leaves.  Stamp the wonderful romance in Memento Tuxedo black and color in with old olive, granny apple green,  Blackberry bliss
using watercolor technique- with pads- stamp the sentiment in blackberry bliss and die cut it with oval die, Die cut pieces with vellum and petal pink CS to add some accent.

Add pearls to the center of flowers and linen thread to the stem to additional interest.

Dylan Dog spinner

My son Dylan has a little stuffed dog that he has been dragging around since he was a little baby with a spot on his eye so when I saw Happy Tails I had to make him a card.

The base card is Soft Suede. I used a piece fo very Vanilla to stamp the dog house and the sentiment-  I then used a scrap piece of vanills to stamp the dog and the bone, then punched it out with a circle punch. Added another layer of soft suede behind it.  Punch out the dog and mount with dimensionals.  take a pice of crumbcake and stamp the paws all over it.  cut a window opening - (using Lawn Fawn die).  take 2 pennies and add a small stampin dimensional in between and glue the bone circle on top to create a spinner.

Beautiful You Spinning Dancer

I have been obsessed with spinners- ever since I played with my butterfly card I wanted to do more spinners. In the new catalog was a ballerina but not one in the current catalog then I saw the dancer form the Beautiful you and decided to use her to spin around.
Use the country floral EF to emboss a piece of whisper white.  Mount on Soft Seafoam base.

Take a piece of Powder Pink CS 8 1/2x 5 1/4 and stamp Peaceful place in  Pear Pizazz. Use the Stamparatus to make sure you got a good image.
Score the paper at 2 1/2 from both sides and in the center at 4 1/4
Stamp the sentiment on the right in old olive.

Diecut the circle in the center and string a fishing line across using glue dot and scotch tape on top to really secure a tight line.

Stamp the woman and then stamp a reverse image using a blank rubber stamp or piece of acetate and cut out.

sandwich the fishing line between the 2 images - trying to keep it reasonably centered.  Her leg will stick out if you close the card with leg out so keep the leg in on the card if you want to mail it.
I took a piece of white and stamped the sentiment on the front with Old Olive and punched it out with Every day label punch.  PUt a piece of ribbon and a left over strip of Soft seaform strip to add more interest.

Added some pearls on each side.
I used the lightest colors of bleners to color in some of the sections on the embossed piece of papaer to add some interest.

Butterfly Spinner

This is one of the projects we had at one of stamping parties.  The base card is Soft Seafoam. The front has the whisper white embossed with Country Floral EF , a layer of daffodil ribbon and a daffodil and white carstock punched with the Story Label punch. The yellow pice is cut in half horizontally and spread out to create a layer.

Stamp the butterfly from Butterfly Gala and punch it out- use the one for the inside and the small one for the outside.
The front sentiment and the little scroll is from Amazing Life set.

The inside is stamped in the corner with another saleabration set All Adorned.  The sentiment is also from the Butterfly Gala set.
stamp 2 large butterflies. String fishing line between the folds on the inside and tape it down using a gluedot and a scotchtape on top to really secure it. glue one butterfly on top of the other sandwiching the fishing line and twist the butterfly before mailing so that it will spin when the receiver opens it.

Don't you just LOVE moving cards?

Best Bunny Magic show

This was one of my make and takes at this month's party not having any clue that this punch was discontinued.  I had one of my friends order it only to tell her she couldn't get it.  Argggh!

I thought I would still tell you how to make it.
Take a base card of Whisper White thick cardstock.  Take a sheet of Daffodil Delight slightly smaller than the base card.  then I took a strip of black, diecut an oval from it and then used the same die to pencil in the other side of the oval to create the focus of light.

I took a piece of Real red- and for those who are not sure, mark 1/2 inch on the bottom from
either side and in the center at the top and cut it to make the 2 sides (or use a piece of 3 1/4 strip of Real red, mark top left and right bottom 1/2 inch from the corner and cut diagonally to create the 2 pieces to eliminate any waste- flip one of the sides to make sure it makes a left and right- my group had a real hard time with this though)

Use the ruffle embossing folder to create the curtain effect- run the curtains together so you know one is left and the other is right.
Stamp the bunny, the hat and color in with real red and basic black blenders. Punch  or cut out the rabbit and mount using dimensionals.  The stamps are still available- just not the punch!

Stamp the sentiment on the inside and the Suprise on the piece of banner punched out with Duet Banner - also retiring!

Stamp the sentiment on the inside for a sweet little card!

Cake shop

Is this not the cutest thing?

As soon as I saw this set I had to have it to make this sweet shop.

The base is whisper white thick CS- I like it sturdy.  Then I took a piece of  Daffodil Delight , ran it with the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder vertically. mount it using dimensionals.

Cut out the window using the rectangle die from the Sliding door die (the Barn door) and it is the perfect size!

I slid a piece of Grapefruit Grove Gingham Gala DSP to create a base.

The awning was made using a piece of whisper white cardstock using the now sadly retired scallop punch and the geniusly matched word window punch.   Take a strip of whisper white, then punch 6 pieces of Grapefruit Grove cardstock using the word window, glue it on every other scallop as shown and cut the top straight and mount it on with extra dimensionals.

The cakes were stamped with Piece of Cake stamp and Build a cake punch, colored as shown and the middle one mounted with dimensionals to pop it up.

I have been putting my stamping on the back burner due to some stresses related to work issues but like this card says I deserve some R&R so will post some of the cards I have been making.

This is the Beach Happy set from the Occasions catalog.  THe base card is Crumbcake with a layer of Bermuda bay embossed with Seaside embossing folder to create the waves, a piece of 5/8 inch burlap ribbon.
Stamp the image on a piece of whisper white. first the stems of the palm trees in soft suede then the leaves to match  in granny apple green, sponge the sand in Crumbcake, then the Pool party  water but put a strip of paper across the card to create a horizon line as you sponge the water
Take a scrap of whisper white and stamp the bench in black and stripes in bermuda bay.  sponge the area under the bench with crumbcake to carry over the sand image and the blue under the left side of the bench to continue the water- it's a small detail that really makes it look bad without it!  Stamp the sentiment and cut it out with the Rectangle Stitched framelits die- another total favorite! and the card is done!
