Eclectic Garden

take the base Shaded Spruce cardstock.  Stamp sentiment with versabmark and Emboss with white embossing powder and heat set.

Take a piece of white cardstock and emboss with Fern embossing folder (hard to see I know but it is there) .  Take a piece of white CS and real red CS and diecut using circle cutter and layer as shown. Use blender brush to add some balmy blue to the white cardstock circle to make the image pop a little

Take a scrap piece of white cardstock and stamp the bird image in memento tuxedo black.  Use stampin' blends to color it in - here I sued Shaded spruce, real red, bronch, old olive and mossy meadow and pumpkin pie for the beak. fussy cut out. Because the background is also white, it will look good no matter how bad you are at scissor work.

add to the circle using dimensionals to make it pop a bit.  a simple but easy simple stamped card.

the set comes with 4 different images so swap it out and it will look just as good.

Sports Event Dies and penguin from Count on Me

I love this Sports Events die - my kids are not even athletic and I still bought the die because I liked how it looks. even the left over piece around the ticket is cool looking so I saved it for another project.

Base card is Pool Party with a strip of paper from the Rainbow Sale-a bration paper - I love the bright colors.   Layer a piece of white CS and then a Magenta Madness large diecut and the white piece diecut  on top as well.
take a scrap piece of paper and stamp the penguin, the happy sentiment from Biggest Wish set in mango melody and the birthday in magenta madness and cut it out.  Color in the penguin using smoky slate dark Stampin' blends, mango Melody for the ebbed feet and beak and Magenta madness for the balloon.
This die does retire with the spring mini catalog end of June so get it while you can.

Flowering Rainboots

when we had the paper pumpkin with the rainboots it was enormously popular and I made the entire kit in one sitting with variations which I don't always do but this set just reminded me of that and I just love it- it retires when the spring mini finishes end of June so get it while you can.

base card is petal Pink with a a DSP from pattern Party (hostess- retired) and a layer of white with scalloped contours.
stamp pots with Smoky slate and diecut.
stamp flowers using petal Pink and Cameo Coral using small stampin squares so you can get 2 different color flowers as shown and diecut. stamp stems with Granny Apple Green.

diecut hoe from Smoky slate CS and color in the hands with bronze stampin' blends to simulate wood handle.
Take the cloud punch and stamp sentiment in black and mount using dimensionals.  stamp daisies with gray granite and color in with pool party and daffodil as shown.

an easy variation on the card using same Petal Pink cardbase and white scalloped contours base. used saffron ink to ink up the boots and using a marker to edge a little darker and same flowers mounted and sentiment stamped in black directly on the cardstock.

Enjoy!

Garden Greenhouse

I have not seen such a lovely delicate die for a greenhouse before and I just adore this die and stampset.  The basecard is Evening Evergreen with a piece of white cardstock diecut using the Stitched Rectangle die.  Stamp the flower image using soft succulent ink as shown.  Diecut the solid greenhouse using vellum and the outline using a white cardstock and mount using tombow liquid glue. diecut the leaves using the soft succulent and evening evergreen cardstock.. stamp some flowers in pale papaya and mount using diemnsionals. Stamp sentiment from Ranunculus Romance inEvening evergreen and punch with banner punch.  add some Genial Gem on the senstiment
banner and tiny jewels in the middle of the flowers to add a little sparkle.

It is just so sweet- I just love it. I want to see if I can make this with smallish flowers and pots inside the greenhouse too......

this set is gone at the end of this month on June 30th when the spring mini finishes up so get it while you can.

Hippo Happiness

I love this hippo so much but there was so many other cards to make I never got around to showing this card to my stampers so we did do it for this month before it was to retire.
the base is thick white CS with a square of  rainbow DSP from Sale-a-bration and topped with a cloud edge cut white cardstock using Basic Borders. stamp sentiment on the bottom of the cloud piece as shown.  Stamp the hippo using Petal Pink then overlay with Flirty Flamingo then highlight the eyes with black.  diecut the rainow using Brilliant Rainbow dies in Petal Pink, Flirty flamingo, Pool Party and So Saffron- all sort of mixtures work so just combine different colors for 4 different rainbows.
I stamped the balloon in same colors and used a black pen to draw the strings. add the diecut clouds and oh so sweet card with my darling hippo set!  Enjoy!

What's Cooking

This card colors were inspired by a card by Brian King- I liked the real red with the black checkers for the accent.

Take the heart and home doily and flip it to the white side and stamp the sentiment in black.  Diecut the cutting board in soft suede, spatula in red and the whisk in Gray Granite.  the rolling pin is diecut from crumbcake.   Using a black marker color in the handles and stamp sentiment on the rolling pin.  Mount using dimensionals for this easy adorable card.

Tulip thinking of you

I love tulips and this die makes making the flowers so easy.

take all the flower dies and arrange them close together to cut out all the pieces shown (here in red) the 3 top pieces make the flower on the right and each row of two make the flower to the right for total of 3 flowers out of one cutting. So easy!  Love the little bud on the bottom. It looks like it is upside down but it is so sweet.

The flowers were diecut using Flirty flamingo and I sponged the edge in real red as shown.

Diecut leaves and stems from Pear Pizazz and mount them on a piece of real red cardstock pierced using the Stitched Greenery Die.

Put a piece of white CS behind to make this section popup a bit. put apiece of Flowering Fields DSP under the white.
Take a strip of white and stamp sentiment from Inspired Thoughts stampset and mount with dimensionals.
I take the color cue from the colors in the DSP- so it just makes things so much easier when you are using the DSP as all the coordinating colors are already chosen and so perfect.

enjoy!

Blessings of Home and Honeybee Home Doily card

Is this not just gorgeou?
The base card is Highland Heather embossed with the hive 3D embossing folder. Love the doilies but not the colors so I flipped it and used he white side with the sentiment stamped on a circle piece of white cardstock and mounted on top.
I colored the flower from Blessings of home in black and colored it in using highland heather Daffodil Pale Papaya and Granny Apple green stampin' blends as shown.  diecut some extra pieces of leaves with daffodil and green apple green cardstock and insert behind the flowers.  Stamp the bee and color in - Use wink of stella to add a little shimmer to the wings.

add a knotted Fresh Freesia ribbon on the bottom of stems to add a little interest.

Seas the Day variations

This set from the spring catalog is so amazing- love the framed die with the seaweeds and corals already in the scene with bubbles- I have some similar frame dies from other companies but this is really my favorite and love the sea creatures and how they fit with the Whale Done set.

Diecut the frame from thick white cardstock and color in using Pool party, Calypso coral- for whatelse but the coral, old olive for the seaweed.  take a Bermuda bay cardstock and stamp the sentiments air bubbles, fish and more seaweed and coral as shown in Misty Moonlight.  Emboss with Bard 3D folder- it really creates the depths of water feeling- retiring this month!  if you stamp after embossing, you will not be able to stamp the fine details. Diecut some extra seaweed pieces in evening evergreen cardstock.

stamp a variety of fish crabs, starfish in coral, jellyfish on vellum cardstock using white embossing powder  and octopus in Blackberry bliss and diecut.

Arrange the sea creatures on the card and mount using dimensionals as shown

put extra creature on the inside of the card too.

the one on the left has the octopus hiding in the background.

I put the sentiment on the side instead on on the panel and put the jelly fish and turtle from Whale Done and from Seas the Day- similar size so they still work.
the card on left was using the faux torn paper technique using the same set- - tear a piece of  copy paper and pout the raw edge on top and bottom to create the window to stamp then stamp the jellyfish and the little fish in Blackberry bliss, the seahorses and coral in Coral, then the seaweed in Mossy meadow - stamp and restamp before reinking, then use blender brush to softly put the pool party ink on the background and an easy one layer card that is so beautiful.  Enjoy!

Flowering Tulips

I was rushing to make a birthday card for a friend and it came out a little messy  but I really like the tulip dies- base is thick white with a layer of scalloped contours in freesia with a layer of white on top stamped with sentiment from Peaceful Moments. Diecut the stems and leaves from Old olive and the flowers from Fresh freesia- I wanted to make a striped flower look but not sure how successful I was but it was fun putting the flowers together. tied the stems with black check ribbon to finish the look. Not sure it needed it but what the heck. Never miss an opportunity to embellish!
