Adventurous Sky faux side step card

Adventurous Sky faux side step card- one of my favorites card templates- no worrying about what cut to make and where to fold it - put the step on the left middle, right where ever you want and it looks good 

basecard is copper clay cardstock 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 1 1/4, 21/2, and 5 1/2along the 8 1/2 inch side.

you need a 3x6 piece of matching cooper clay cardstock scored at 4 1/4. for the front panel

Adventurous Sky DSP for each panel   5 1/4x1,  5 1/4 x 2 3/4, 4X 2 3/4 for the center panel-

 you can put the side step panel in the center or to the left or right depending on what you would like. 

Diecut airplane parts-  Body from night of navy, wings from Smoky slate, propeller from silver and cloud from white of course

. 

the sentiment panel is from the Delicate Forest Dies set 

put together the plane and mount using dimensionals as desired. stamp sentiment in navy or copper caly and mount with dimensionals as desired.

Fluffiest Friends- CASE

 

Fluffiest Friends- on line exclusive CASE- I saw this card in the Stampin' Up website and I had to case it but had not had time until now so we made it for our class.

base: take thick white cardstock  8 1/2x 5 1/2  fold into 1/2 into A2 size card 4 1/4x 5 1/2 

diecut the window opening from Pool party cardstock.

Stamp the bear image with bees on the front panel to fit inside the pool party window panel.

stamp the sentiment from Bee my Valentine set on the bottom of the pool party panel. 

diecut the grass and leaves from lemon lime twist cardstok, the branch from expresso and the beehive from lemon Lolly- mount beehive with dimensionals- so adorable!

 

Trucking along CASE

I saw this card from Karen Hadler and loved the colors and summery look - feminine rather than the expected masculine colors on a truck so I had to CASE it for my class.

base: take thick white cardstock  8 1/2x 5 1/2  fold into 1/2 into A2 size card 4 1/4x 5 1/2 

use circle punch - you can get the 2 3/8 on line to punch out a piece of  3 1/2 x 4 3/4 bubble bath cardstock- you are going to use the circle as a stencil to create a sun background on the 3 1/4  x 4 1/2white cardstock using some yellowish inkpad with blender brush or dauber or whatever you have to create a sunny/ or sunset background for the truck.

Fussy cut the trees- you need 2 and the palm tree and things for the back of the truck,

you will color these in with markers, stampin' blends, watercolor pencils, whatever you would like.

stamp the truck image and punch it out with coordinating trucking along builder punch.

Color the truck with bubble bath stampin blends. Mount images with dimensionals.

cut the sentiment in a strip or banner form and mount under the truck image. so cute!

4. Submarine life slide out card

 basecard is thick white 8 1/2 x  5 1/2  scored at 4 1/4 for A2 card

take another cardstock and stamp beauty of the day in old olive 

diecut opening on the front panel and use 1" punch to create a little half circle to pull out the strip in line with the opening

then the sand in cumbcake, 

the crab and fish in calypso coral

and seaweed in lost lagoon.

- use blending brush or dauber or your color in mechanism of choice to color in the water

stamp submarine in poppy parade and sonar and fan with basic black on a scrap piece of paper and punch out .

the sentiment is stamped in lost lagoon on the base cardstock behind the opening on the front panel

 

You will need a lot of dimensionals - we will put the strip of white cardstock behind the opening to cover and put dimensionals around it so it will easily slide in and out. -put dimensionals around the front panel edge to mount to the base panel.

glue the sonar and the fan to the submarine then mount the submarine on the the white strip to make out the pull out mechanism and reveal.

label something fancy die for label with sentiment from perrenial postage set

cardstock used Shaded spruce, fesh freesia

inkpads - Shaded spruce, fesh freesia gorgeous grape and orchid oasis

linen thread to tie the bouquet

 

embellish as desired.

Zinnia Easel card and variation

 

 1. Zinnia easel card- on line exclusive

base: take thick white cardstock  8 1/2x 5 1/2  fold into 1/2 into A2 size card 4 1/4x 5 1/2 

emboss the front panel with Zinnia Embossing folder.- score the front panel in half horizontally 

cut a piece of Zinnia DSP paper for the bottom inside panel.

Use every day details die to diecut a circle panel for the front.- adhere the bottom half of the circle onto the bottom half of the front panel as shown.

stamp large Zinnia image on a scrap piece of white cardstock and diecut out and color as shown.- i used Stampin Blends - flirty flamingo melon mambo and berry burst and old olive but whatever color you want to use - the colors are lifted from the DSP colors.

Stamp sentiment on a banner punched with Banners Pick a punch (retiring)

stamp sentiment in Memento Tuxedo black in front and on the banner. mount with dimensionals. 

Here I used the poppy parade cardstock embossed with zinnia folder and a piece of zinnia DSP bordered with a sliver of gold peeking .after I stamped the flowers on the scrap white and coloring it in I used the poppy parade stampin blends to color in the outside- I have a pet peeve about the white border showing- so I usually use white background so it will not show...

Embossing folders add such texture to the background I really love it! More often than not I will add some embossing folder texture instead of leaving it plain.

emboss old expresso cardstock with time worn type embossing folder.

take vanills cardstock and stamp back ground image in pecan pie 

use pecan pie cardstock diecut with the label die embossed with gold embossing powder after stamping with versamark pad.

stamp the large image on vanilla cardstock and color in as desired.

put a strip of gold glimmer cardstock to add a tiny bit of sparkle.

here I used the Quatrefoil embossing folder and used gold Lunar Paste to highlight the raised parts a bit  and put 2 thin strips of gold glimmer cardstock .

Latte Love with French press card-

The basecard thick vanilla cardstock 8/1/2 x 5 1/2 folded in half to create A2 card ( 4 1/4x 5 1/2)

stamp the stain and coffee beans on the early expresso cardstock using early expresso inkpad.

take a piece of 4 1/4x3 inches Calypso coral cardstock layer

Vanilla cardstock 4x 2 3/4 inches . Stamp sentiment in Early Expresso.

Diecut the Coffee Carafe in silver foil, glass part with vellum and coffee part with early expresso.  I tried using acetate and it was really hard to see and the vellum worked better- I also tried putting the coffe part behind the vellum but then it was too muted and putting in the front seemed to convey the idea better.

Diecut  coffee cups in calypso coral, very vanilla ( or green apple works well too ) and Azure Afternoon and the coffee inside with early expresso- (use pecan pie if you want a latte)

use piece of natural polka dot trim to embellish and anchor the cups.

I added the steam with a pen.  I just love the carafe die - so super cute!

Everyday Details popup card

 

 basecard is thick white 8 1/2 x  5 1/2  scored at 4 1/4 for A2 card

Diecut a large circle using the Everday details die. 

emboss the front panel minus the circle using the Layered Florals 3D embossing folder

stamp the sentiment on the inside panel.

 

mechanism is a piece of white cardstock 3 x 1 1/2 inches- scored  3 times every 3/4 inches with the 3 inch side across the top.

fold the mechanism piece in 1/2 and with the open part of the fold on the fold of the card on the inside, place glue on the mechanism panel on the bottom panel closest to the fold of the card.

Tape or glue the top panel of the mechanism closest to the fold to the inside panel - only on the part that will stick to the area between the fold of the card and the circle opening, Do not put adhesive beyond the front opening.

 

Stamp and color in the image from Everyday Details. Fussy cut an extra egg and apply with dimension if you want some dimension.

I put glue on the egg closest to the nest so it will stay put  and dimensionals on the top part so it will pop up- I did not want the eggs to "float")

Tape or glue on the second panel of the mechanism visible through the opening with the card closed. 

align the circle (or whatever diecut you use for this technique) and burnishso it will stick to the tape on the second panel of the mechansim.  

When you open the card the diecut will pop up.

Use stampin' Blends - so saffron, Pool party inkpad using sponge daubers to color in the raised potaion of the embossed front panel as shown to add some interest without detracting from the front panel.

Ice Cream Swirl card

base: take white cardstock  8 1/2x 5 1/2  fold into 1/2 into A2 size card 4 1/4x g 1/2 - cut 3/4 inch off the front end.

Emboss the front panel only with Painted Textures embossing folder to create texture in the front of the card

add a sliver of gold glimmer CS on the right front edge.

add a 1 strip of Sunny days DSP (from Sale-a-bration 2024 ) on the inside panel right edge visble from the front.

stamp the ice cream swirl in bubble bath and use bubble bath stampin blend to create shadow of strawberry ice cream (or use water colored pencil or other techniques), Stamp the strawerries on a scrap piece of white cardstock. Color in Strawberries using poppy parade and old olive stampin blend 

diecut the cone using the cone and texture dies 

Use the inkpad to ink up the Thoughtful Moments hybrid embossing folder -place the matching die into place then a piece of white cardstock on top and press to create the die sentiments- ( lots of videos on line on how to do it)  I find a light touch works best -  I tried the brayer but I think using the pad directly on the folder works fine-  Mount with dimensionals..
