Friendly Seagulls flip card.

#3.   (free sale-a-bration set with $60 purchase)

take 2 White cardstock scored to make side folding 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 A2 size card.(DO NOT use thick cardstock for this project)

with one add a 4x 5 1/4 piece of crumbcake and mount using tape to the outside margins only and diecut a circle from the white and crumbcake panels. - Here I used Spotlight on Nature dies (but any simple shape die will work- even if irregular will work too for this project) 

emboss the crumbcake panel after cutting with So Swirly but Soft Waves embossing folder would be really great for this.

stamp the seagull with french fries, the distant seagulls and gravel onto the white circle panel you diecut (keept the crumbcake piece for another project)  use blender brush to add some color to the sky - here I used pool party and crumbcake for the sand) 

Stamp I love you more than sentiment on a 1/2 inch strip of white cardstock..  stamp French fries on another piece and the french fry image on a scrap piece of white cardstock and color in.

 

take the second white cardstock and score in between the center fold 2 1/8 inch from each end. 

Glue the left panel of the second white basecard to the the right half of the back of the white panel with the circle diecut out ( from the scored center to the half way out) - make sure to put the glue only on the back panel with the circle cut out and no glue on the open area..

the far right panel of the second white cardstock will be glued to the inside far right side of the first panel with the circle diecut.

so when you open the card there will be the circle opening on the left and a W fold in the center.

close the card and glue the circle panel to the RIGHT HALF ONLY in the opening so that it will flip when your card opens. 

attach the sentiment to the front and inside as desired.

take White base card to fold  4 1/4x11 and score at 2 3/4 and at 5/12 inches 

layer of Poppy parade 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 

take a layer of white cardstock 5 1/4x 4 inches and stamp the poppy flower corner image twice one on each corner

color the flower - we used poppy parade and leaves with Granny Apple Green stampin Blends.

stamp the little piece of flower with same colors and fussy cut out. mount with dimensional on the inside to create an easel card. 

if you have time if you time a few minutes to fussy cut the outside of the frame image it makes for a more interesting card. 

or try mounting it on basic black cardstock instead of Poppy parade for a dramatic looking card

 

another color variation with checked embossing folder background in a landscape shaped easel card.

memorable blooms

White A2 cardstock .4 1/4 x 5 1/2 either portrait or landscape - diecut octagonal opening on the front white panel. (save the piece for another card)  

stamp the sentiment in memento tuxedo black.

diecut another octagone die in poppy parade and place in the opening . 

panel of white slighlty smaller than 4 1/4x51/2 and emboss the falling leaves embossing folder  and place it behind the opening  and mount with dimensionals

stamp, color and diecut the flower and leaves as shown. mount with dimensionals in front.

White A2 cardstock and take 1/8 off each side and 1/8 inch off the bottom front panel only 

panel of peach Pie  4 1/4x51/2 and selectively emboss the timeworn type embossing folder  where the opening would be -( hard to make out the embossing done on the peach pie though)

adhere the peach pie piece with dimensionals or flat adhere the frame with flowers

color in the stamped flower piece as desired and adhere on the front with dimensionals

If you want shaker option then get a piece of acetate to fit behind the opening and you will need dimensional strips and shaker elements to make it.

 

Beautiful butterflies slip out card

My friend Sheryl had sent me a dragonfly card with this slip out and when I saw this butterfly I knew I had to try it with it.  So this was one of the january class card we made during Stampin' with Lynda.

Take White cardstock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and score at 4  1/4 to make a top folding landscape A2 card.

take a piece of white cardstock 4x 5 1/4 and stamp the hello on the r side with black memento 

diecut the slit - here I used the sentiment strip from Delightful wished but you can you the one that comes with the Butterfly set ( a little wider) or use the paper cutter to make a slit. 

I kinds of figured out where I wanted the butterfly and embossed the image to line up with the slit.

mount the embossed white cardstock to the basecard - - the slit should li\ne up.

stamp and diecut the large butterfly and color in as desired. 

add tear tape to the center of the butterfly and with the card closed use the slit to line up the butterfly and adhere to the base card through the slit so that when you open the card the butterfly wings will pop up and slide through the opening

Terrific Toadstools

take Poppy Parade cardstock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and score at 1 1/2 amd 5 3/4 along the 8 1/2 side to make a asymmetric gatefold

take a piece of white cardstock 4x 5 1/4 and stamp the 3 headed toadstool on it with pumpkin pie and granny apple green

take the terrific toadstool DSP  (Saleabration free item with $60 purchase)

take a poppy parade 2 3/4 x 4 1/4 and a white cardstock 2 1/2x 4 - 

stamp the white piece with sentiment and ground using Granny apple green

stamp the toadstool cap on a scrap piece of white cardstock - large in poppy parade and punch out using the coordinating Terrific toadstool punch

stamp the medium toadstool cap in pumpkin pie and punch out 

punch the stem using the crumbcake cardstock strip.

stamp the larger stem using crumbcake ink onto white cardstock scrap and fussy cut.

Mount the caps using dimensionals and the stems using the liquid glue 

adhere the brass bird embellishments

take White base card 

layer of Poppy parade 3 1/2x 4 3/4-  diecut a heart from the center before mounting onto base card

take a layer of DSP (we are using painted with Love- retired) as close to Marbled elegance specialty DSP I had on hand- love the swirl of gold 

take a white cardstock and diecut another heart and label from the dieset and stamp the sentiment in poppy parade

mount the hearts on the DSP and mount the label with dimensionals.

score at 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 on one side and 1 1/2 and 4 1/2 on the other side  and fold as shown on the left below

You can use a clip to close the bag or fold over a tag and close it with staple or glue

here I punched 2 holes and tied a red and white baker's twine.

Add a tag if you wish.

• Poppy Parade cardstock basecard scored at 4 1/4 x 11 score at 3 1/2 and 9 to make a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 A2 size card in a different fold

• white cardstock for inside middle panel 4 x 4 3/4; inside bottom panel 4x 2 3/4  to stamp sentiments

• shopping bag from DSP 4x 9 1/2  score at 1/2,4,4 1/2,5,8 1/2, 9 and turn 90 degrees 1/2 from bottom and 1 inch from top (if directional)

• 1/8 inch circle punch to make hole for the ribbon or awl to make hole

• 2 pieces of ribbon for bag handle- 2 pieces of scotch tape to tape down the ribbon - 

• belly band 1 1/4x 9 1/2 or so white cardstock - put opening in front to hide behind element - stamp sentiment in poppy parade ink and put the snowman (from Snowy Wonder set over the fold to hide the seam
