Alpine Adventures

I don't know why I love old sled images. Every time somebody comes out with one, I have to have it. The die was no exception and it did not disappoint.  A few years ago Stampin' Up had a Chirstmas card kit with diet cut sled pieces on it and I was hoping they would come out with die so I can make all the sleds I needed and they have!

Base Card of thick Whisper white, then layer of  Real red then Balmy Blue.
I took Shimmery white cardstock and put a swash of water then Balmy Blue ink all over to create a background wash.  Then stamp the
snowflakes all over for s subtle background.

Diecut the sled from the Wood Textured DSP then mount with dimensionals.  Diecut a snowflake from Whisper White scrap.

Stamp the berries in real red then stamp the leaves in Old Olive then diecut out. diecut the ribbon in Real Red. Add Rhinestone Jewels here and there to add a little sparkle.

Stamp the sentiment in Real red on a 1/2 inch strip of whisper white and attach with dimensionals.

Peaceful Poinsettia

Yes, it's the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas season is now officially here!

This poinsettia die is so beautiful.

Take a base of whisper white stamped with the image in  SmokySlate to add a little background.
Stamp the sentiment in poppy parade.
Add a strip of Poppy parade and then a strip of DSP from Under the Mistletoe.
Punch a bunch of leaves using the Sprigs punch,
diecut a piece of Poppy parade using the outline of poinsettia and then diecut red Glimmer paper
using the die - you can use both the outline and the detail diecut together to get the perfect outline- of course I did not even realize this until after I made my card so my cut was a bit wonky and uneven. LOL

put a bunch of rhinestone jewels in the center to finish off.

Take out Box Pumpkin

I had this vision of a pumpkin from the Take out box but when I made it it just did not look like what I imagined. but when I turned it upside down, then Voila, it was how I imagined it.

I made a bunch of these at my last party and it was super easy to make.

Cut the box out and layered it together as shown. I used a pencil to draw the pumpkin lines before I put it together.

Assemble the box, fill with treats, close the box and turn it upside down.

I took the leaf using the Leaf punch from stampin up and a tiny strip of Old Olive cardstock which I curled using a pencil.
I glued the two ends together to make a stem and mounted the whole thing on the boxtop where the pencil marks converged.
like this.

It was so easy and so cute!
Happy Thanksgiving!

I've been playing with other ideas for this box- love it!

Country Home

Loved this set as soon as I laid my eyes on it.
Stamp the image and the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black. I wanted to use this for a non holiday card so wanted a neutral sentiment.  Color the image using the Stampin' Blends. Mint macaron for the pitcher. Do dark on the outside then use the light to blend it in - If you leave a strip of white in the center I think it looks better than if you color the whole thing.

I  used Calypso Coral to color the poppy pods light and dark and cut them out and mounted it using a tiny piece of dimensional to lift the top part and the green tomboy liquid glue to stick it down on the other side so only 1/2 of it pops up and I really like the effect.

Layered crushed curry and old olive behind the Whisper white layer.

take the Galvanized Metallic paper from Stampin' Up 2017-2018 Holiday catalog and cut a strip and emboss using the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (what a mouthful!) that creates this beautiful tinned tile look.

Layer the whole thing on basecard of Blackberry Bliss.
