Blooms & Wishes Colorcase

One of my Stampin' friends Barbara made a card and the colors in it was really fantastic.  Since I did not have the set she used, I decided to use Blooms and Wishes set to make a similar colored card.  The base is whisper white with a layer of Daffodil Delight. Used Melon Mambo for the big flowers and the dots from Awesomely Artistic.  the flower center is real red and the leaves are old olive and Pear Pizazz. Some pearls in the center to add some dimension.  The oval stitched and scalloped oval.

Birthday flower pop pot stand card

I am making a pop up birthday card for a friend and found this really cute pop up  from Elizabeth craft. I had been doing other popup cards but I like the options of adding a lot of flowers in this.  I would like someone to design a popup bouquet  a little smaller that would allow me to add more flowers to the top without sticking out of the card.

I've been diecutting a lot of flowers from any leftover cardstock  with a variety of stampin up flower dies so there is a variety here. I likte the little tiny punches for the center of the card- I got those from Michael's eons ago for a $1 each and they make the sweetest little centers.

Anyway, this is how it opens up and it stands up with a whole bunch of flowers in it.
I stamped happy birthday on the inside from Stampin' Up Party Wishes (retired) and stamped the sentiment in the front using a variety of markers and punched it out with 1 1/2" circle punch

I added the festive DSP to cover up the holes made by the mechanism of the card.

I hope she likes the card.

Margery's RAK

My DH said-"there is this card for you left on the doorstep" and gave me this envelope and this was what I found inside from my friend Margery.  Such a cute and fun card with the darling stethoscope in the middle surrounded by all the little band aids and pills.
I couldn't help but laugh at the sentiment.

There is actually some science to explain why small creative tasks might make people feel better. According to a new study, a little creativity each day can go a long way towards happiness and satisfaction in the bustle of daily life.

I would suggest that you do a little stamping everyday for better mental health!  Doctor's orders!

Happy Fourth!

Happy Fourth of July-  CAS436 challenge was to show your patriotism so here it went.
When you take Night of Navy and you spray bleach it takes away the colors and makes this sky at night intense pattern.  But I wasnted a little less intense night sky so I used a finer spray to get a softer splotchy sky.  I wanted the fireworks to be more the focus.

The firework is from an old OLD retired set called July Fourth.  I stamped it with versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder to make a more intense white against the background. Then I used alcohol makers in cheery cobbler and turquoise
to color in some parts of it to look more like fireworks with all their colors.   I also used the Star of Light stamp to create the sparkle streak with silver embossing powder.  Added the 2 lounge chairs diecut from the Seasonal Layers thinlits- because we always take our lounge chairs to watch the fireworks, as we will tonight!
My friend Lynne sends me wonderful cards for almost every holiday.  I do not know how she finds the time with her busy life. And then I got this beautiful pop up card for the fourth and I was blown away and I had to share it with you all.  I want that sparkle fireworks die if such thing exists.  What a perfect way to celebrate.
I absolutely loved it.  Thanks, Lynne!

Paperpumpkin June 2017 variations

This month's set One in a Melon is I thought was very "Sweet" to say the least.  Love the watermelon theme for the summer and the bag. tissue paper in the melon with little seeds imprinted on them was super cute and very usable for cards since I have only few uses for packaging- I like to cut some of the pieces for other uses like this.  The watermelon skin pattern for the bags are very useful.
So here are my two little variations on them,  Very summer and I will be using them for many birthdays this summer.
This was the upside down version of the splitcoast sketch challenge SC651- with the watermelon wedge it was a fun challenge to play with.
