it was my brother in law's birthday and I wanted to make him a card and I used the 12 x12 DSP to make the card. the picture below shows what it looked like trimmed up with the pockets I created. I did add a center panel with a message after this picture was taken. above is what it looked like closed up with the belly band made from DSP from He's all that set.

Max's Starwars Birthday platform popup card
This set was from Galactic Adventures the third and the sequel.
it mails totally flat which is so cool.
My nurse Mary Lou had given me some birthday cards with this popup mechanism which I totally
I will be making my Christmas Cards out of the die as well so can't wait to show you what that will look like....
I love the sentiment and I found a banner die and stamped Max's name to personalize it.
I was happy to hear his mom send me a message that he really liked it. Worth the effort!

Sending easy Diamond Easel card
Such an easy but an impactful card. Take a basecard of Fresh Fressia 4 1/4 x 11 and score with the 11 inch side across the top at 2 1/8, 4 1/4, 5 1/2 inches. flip it clockwise with the 4 1/4 side on the top and just mark the middle at the 2 1/8 point. Draw the diagonal from that 2 1/8 center to the first score line at 2 1/8 on the left and right to create a triangular point and cut the diagonals off. that is the base of the card. see diagram below.
Take a 3 inch square of Fresh Freesia cardstock and match the corner to the triangular part of the card and glue or tape down the part over the triangular base card only so the top part is free to flip. That is the mechanism. Now you can decorate however you want. You will need 3 pieces of DSP. 4 inches by 1 inch to put on the top between the 4 1/4 and 5 1/2 inch score line, a 4 inch by 1 7/8 inch to put between the 2 1/8 and 4 1/4 inch score line in the front. lastly you need a 4 inch by 2 inch piece for the bottom of the inside of the card as shown. Take a 2 3/4 inch of white cardstock - this piece will go in the center of the diamond. Here I stamped the leaf from the Sending stampset in Granny apple green. Stamp the flowers in Highland Heather and GOrgeous grape and center with Daffodil Delight. diecut it out and mount on card using dimensionals. Stamp Sending in Gorgoeus grape and diecut and the outline in white and attach onto the white cardstock. stamp sentiment in Gorgeous grape on the little label- this is from Cracker & Treat box die - it needs to be small enough to hide behind the triangle when closed. I used dimesionals to pop the label up so it would catch the point of the triangle to make the easel card. So easy and probably my favorite cardshape for ease of making and impact . Any little image that fits in the s 3/4 inch square would look super cute. tape down the first section so the pop up is with the diamond part only as shown below. THe DSP here is from the hostess set Pattern Party (retired- one of my favorite for its black and white patterns) but any coordinating DSP would work

Bottled happiness and Honey bee home
My sister asked for a project using this set so this was what I came up with for my August class. Baseline is Pool party with a layer of white with message stamped in Old Olive.
stamp the bottles in Pool party and shorter bottle in Mint macaron.
stamp the flowers and stems with memento black and color in using stampin' blends Pretty flamingo adn pool party and soft seafoam for the leaves.
diecut some leaves from Pear Pizazz and put them in the bottle with the stems.
some flowers on the side that are on the table.
this was a case my sister requested. stamp Oceanfront in pool party and leaves in mossy meadow. bottle top in early expresso.
base card is Crumbcake with a layer of mossy meadow. punch the white card top with the bottle punch.
I stamped the opening with the bottle accent with versamark onto the Mossy Meadow cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder to accent the bottle. Roll up a piece of newsprint dsp and tie with linen thread and put in the bottle and close up - I wanted to put some sand in there but did not have any - we'll be at the beach this weekend so I'll be sure to scoop a little up!
