Razzle Dazzle Window Card

Isn't this a clean and simple card? I cased this from a card on SU website from Jackie Topa and I loved the sneak peek window. This card is pink passion base CS with whisper white on top. The white CS is punched with eyelet punch on one side and stamped with razzle dazzle in pink passion. The front pink passion and the white CS is punched together with scallop oval. Take a 2x3 transparent window sheet - You can get a lot of them from just one sheet of 12x12- stamp your sentiment - here from together forever set- in white Staz-On and sandwich the transparency, centering your sentiment between the white and the top pink passion CS to make a window as shown. It's a really simple card that I think looks really elegant and this technique could be used for so many different themes and punches- the ideas are rolling in my head.... If only I had infinite time to make them all into reality! If each day had 30 hours, I may finally get caught up with my life!

Accordion Folded Flower

I saw this card in the Sale-a-bration Mini earlier this year and thought it was really cute but never got around to making one so I thought I would try it and even had it at my stamp camp. From everyone's trial and error and many that I have now made, have some tips to share with you.

Take a 12x 1 1/2 Designer Series paper and punch the edges with the scallop punch. Accordion fold along each of the scallop. Start the strip at a scallop's start and you will have exact number needed to have one piece overlap. We tried to score these but some people scored too deep and ripped the accordion, so I think best just to hand fold.

The edges need to be really secure so use sticky strip to adhere so the flower will not " pop" open in the middle of you trying to lay it flat to make the flower.
I mad the base card from 6x6 saffron card folded in half to make a 3x6 card. I textured the pumpkin pie CS using the new Perfect Details Texturz Plates. I wrapped a 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon in old olive and secured it with sticky strip. I also laid a bunch of sticky strips underneath where I thought I would lay the flower down in about a 1 1/2 inch square and then pushed the flower down with the scallop on the outside.

This is what it should look like. It still can pop up so hold onto it and gently push down into the tape. I put a lot of Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive in the center of the hole and around the base to secure the brad.

I curled the tip of the brad - it seemed that the tip was a tad too long for the flower so curling it made it lay better and seemed more secure.

I put something heavy- I just happened to have some punches laying around- to secure the brad to the flower and let it cure for about 30 minutes.

This is what I did to the brads in my later pieces when I figured out this seemed to work better.

Tie a 5/8 " grosgrain in old olive and secure with a sticky strip or glue dot. Tie a message punched with word window and tie with the linen thread around the leaf to finish. The build a brad is really easy. Just punched out a piece of designer paper with 1/2 inch circle punch and used tombow tape or glue and put the self adhesive little acrylic bubble on top. I guess you could put a little face if you had a picture that fit- wouldn't that be cute!
Now if I can figure out how to mail this card......

Bitty Box and Envelope set

Stampin' Up has this cute little Bitty Box and envelope Die to use on the Big Shot. The envelope holds a card 2x2" so it would make a really cute gift card.
These are all the new In Colors for this year in textured cardstock that I just love. The box is made from 4 7/8 x 7 1/8 cardstock. Trick to getting 4 pieces out of 12x 12 cardstock is cut down using your scorer/cutter at 4 7/8 down to 7 1/8, then rotate 90 degrees and do the same thing 4 times and you will have a little square in the center left over but 4 perfect pieces for the box die.
The envelope is made with a plain copy paper folded into quarters and run it through once to get 4 envelopes at one time. Stamp the envelope and white CS using the Circle Circus Stampset in melon and Bermuda Bay. The Cards are 12x12 Textured cardstock cut into 2x4 pieces for each card folded into half to make 2x2 cards. Stamped Just for you from Teeny Tiny Wishes set with basic black, a strip of Rich Razzleberry and a skinny strip of suede CS to make the stems and then circles stamped in curry, Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo punch out with circle punches and mount using dimensionals.

The box circles are mounted on some melon mambo cardstock punched with Boho Blossoms Punch. Tie with melon mambo polka dot ribbon and a cute little gift cards and box for you and/or your friends!

A peacock thank you

Another installment in the Very thankful set.
It's hard to see but the peacock is really sparkly. Used a white CS embossed on the botton only with Finial Press Embossing folder , wrapped with Bermuda Bay polka dot ribbon. The Stamp is inked with Bermuda Bay inkpad then remove the ink from the selected area with a blender pen then ink with melon Mamba marker, then stamp. Add Crushed curry to the feathertail sections then use 2-way glue pen to add dazzling diamond glitter to the body and tail feathers. It is prettier in real life. Oh well.
