Birthday Piggies- three little pigs samples

one of my twins love pigs and this set was so adorable I had to get and make a card for his birthday- This one we made for our September stamping with Lynda

take a base card of thick white, take a piece of Pacific blue and emboss with let's celebrate embossing folder- I placed it on the bottom of the panel so that Happy Birthday would show up above the friend diecut (from another company) The circle panel was cut from Silver and Gold DSP from Sale-a-bration

Stampin Up came up with the matching diecut for this adorable set available for limited time only- I colored it in with variety of colors, Petal Pink for the pig and parakeet party poppy parade and tahitian blue for the bike and smoky slate.

mount with dimensionals.

Lost the little dot above the i and margery suggested used the rhinestone which was perfect.

this was a variation on the above for my demonstrator group get together-it's a  pop up diamond easel I did here:  https://stampingdoc.blogspot.com/2022/08/sending-easy-diamond-easel-card.html

stamp the pig on the diamond and another flag on a scrap - you will need to fussy cut and glue on top so you get the whole flag on the diamond shape. place the DSP from Rings of Love (sale-a-bration) on Mint macaron cardstock base.

this is another piggy sample - the pig die has this cute little pullcart among other cute things.

I put a Pattern party DSP - retired and then a layer of Daffodil delight and a piece of white diecut from the scalloped contours dieset- hands on my favorite go to die for the sweet little stiching and the perfect scallop- stamp the sentiment. stamp the pig and 3 balloons on a scrap and diecut it out. put it on the basecard behind the card so it looks like it is sitting in it.

cart diecut from crumbcake- it has separate dies for the wheel and the handle too although i did not use it .

Birthday Goodness Popup

This was such a fun card- we made this for one of my Stampin' Parties.

The base card is 4 1/4 by 11 inch Coral Calypso Card scored at 2 and 7 inches.

The basic black square is 3 3/4. The whisper shite front panel is 3 1/2 inch square.
Stamp streamers in multiple colors- crushed curry, Granny apple green,. pol party, calypso coral.
stamp the donut on a scrap piece of whisper white and diecut using the circle from stitched labels  ( it was the only one that would fit the donut! but find any circle die or punch that fits
that you have.  Color it in as you wish. Mount it using a dimensional to raise it up a bit and allow for the card closure.  I also stamped the sentiment and diecut using the Stitched nested labels and cut off the right side as shown.  I stamped the streamers from the Birthday backgrounds set using Calypso coral but you could use Versamark.  Stamp the second sentiment and diecut with the Stitched Nested labels as shown.
The inner piece is 5x  2 3/4 scored at 1" across the top. If it is any longer it will not fit on the card.  Stamp the tray of donuts and color in with the blends- I used the bold colors then used the color lifter to soften the colors a bit
Below is the side view as you open the card- This is an old template using a new stampset!
Enjoy!

Kunal's birthday popup with Mama Elephant Party Animals

I made a bunch of cards using Stampin' Up's Birthday Blast stampset and diecut to embellish in different ways. I came across this Party Animals set from Mama Elephant and love the little creatures celebrating and had to put them in the box.  Made one for Kunal, one of son's best friends and one for my niece in Melon Mambo.
A little $$ tucked away in the back and a banner personalizing the card I think makes it sweet.

Hope they like it!

Superduper Birthday!

This was one of my projects for this month.
Hermelinda did this really cool Zfold birthday card and I've been meaning to use it. Then I saw the Every day Hero set and had to have it and loved the city scape.

The sentiment from Super Duper stampset goes so well with this.
I stamped the sentiment in Pacific Point and then again with Real red. The new stamp pads are juicy enough that if you put the clear embossing powder on it right away it sticks and lets you emboss it.  Cut it out and layer with dimensional to pop it up as shown.
I stamped the city scape a little higher on the panels of the card and then used a 1 inch strip to stamp it again then rough cut the top part to layer it a bit.  You could color in the houses a bit but I left it be so it would not take too long for the make and take.
I stamped the super duper the same way - - cut out the super duper after stamping in real red and just stuck it on top.  It did not look as good coloring in with markers separately.  I stamped the super hero and the cape separately on a scrap of real red. After I stamped him, then I placed the Happy Birthday panel to hide him behind so you could not see him when the card was flat to make it more a surprise.  I stamped the balloons in real red and pacific point and used basic black markers to make it look like he was holding it.
I stamped the WOW sentiment in the middle panel and little stars in Daffodil Delight to add some interest.

The super dude was colored in with blender pen and the real red, pacific point and soft suede for the hair.  The skin was colored with Blossom Blush- retired- marker.

Vertical versions of the Cool Treats Birthday card

I needed more birthday cards and I kept playing and this is one of the cards using the same idea as the one from 2 days ago but with rhinestones on the cones. to add some sparkle.
This is a version with banners for my friend Annette.  I just strung the gold cord from the cone and hung little banners stamped with her name  using the Labeler Alphabet  and it makes it special for that one person that you are thinking about!

Cool Treats Birthday for a special little friend

Is this not a fun card?
Base is Crushed curry with a piece of whisper white that has some holes punched that showed the Crushed Curry color through.  The dots are made by Nuvo Crystal Drops that I got from Cranberry Hill, my local craft store in Sunyvale and they are super fun and quick easy way to add a pop of color and dimension.  They dry like glass and just a festive note.  I will probably use it for all my birthday cards.  Silver glimmer diecut happy from Avery-Elle and banner using Stampin' Up banner punch- (retired) with Cherry on Top DSP.   Cone and Ice Cream from Stampin' Up Cool Treats- my favorite stampset and die from the new Occasions Catalog and "belated" sentiment from Sweet Cupcake set

Birthday card for Max

Kyle was invited to one of his classmate's birthday party and this is the popup card I made for the occasion.  They don't seem to want presents at their age- they all seem to be asking for money and this has a pocket in the back that hold it just perfect.

Balloon Framelits fit the sentiments perfectly
I had stickers, rub-ons and acrylic embellishments (non-SU) to decorate the box and it was a sweet little card that popped up to say Happy Birthday to a little boy- the size was not normal A2 so I had to make the envelope using the envelope maker to fit the off size card- Gotta love the envelope maker!
What did we do before this little gizmo?  In matching DSP to boot.

Happy Birthday

Isn't this Irresistably Yours paper just darling?
Cut the paper 4x4 and you can get 9 pieces out of the sheet.  I sponged soft sky outside in to bring out the stars a bit.  Then mounted it on whisper white stamped with sentiment from Crazy About You in Tempting Turquoise.  I punched out a bunch of stars from Confetti Stars Border Punch with Silver Glimmer paper to scatter around the card besides the sequins from Frosted Sequins (in Clearance now) or So You Project Kit.   Tied the edge of the card with the Silver Baker's twine and tied a know. I put 2 silver punched stars back to back on each end of the string so that it would be pretty no matter how the strings dangle.  Dauber some tangelo twist and melon mambo on a scrap piece of whisper white, diecut with the happy die and mount on card.
 Details on the star dangle
details on the silver stars and sequins.

enjoy.

It's a Big Day

This is a variation on a card we made at my upline Tami's that we made at my Stampin' Party this month.  I wanted some bright colors for the birthday card.  After this long winter I am ready for some color.  The base card is Coastal Cabana with 2 different pieces of Best Year Ever DSP from Sale-a-bration (free with any $50 purchase).  The bookmark is made with Ornate Tag Topper punched on both sides, stamped with the sentiments in Memento Ink then used the Blenerabilities to color it in.  Tie the Calypso coral ribbon ( from Best Day Ever Accessory Pack from Sale-a-bration).  Stamp the cake on a 2" circle whisper whiter CS and color it in with blenderability as well making sure to dauber the edge of the circle to make it stand out a bit.  Mount on the Crushed Curry cardstock punched with 2 3/8 inch scallop circle using dimensionals.

It would make a sweet little card for any birthday boy or girl!

Oh, Happy Day!

This was such a little fun card.  The base card was Baked brown sugar with a layer of so saffron then Tangerine Tango which was embossed with the Arrows Textured embossing folder.  I put a little strip of Retro Fresh DSP - where of course I got all the color combo for the card-  The Oh happy day was stamped with versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder and diecut  with the starburst  framelit.
The little starburst was stamped with pool party first then diecut and mounted with dimensionals.  I glued some gold sequins using the Multipurpose Liquid glue but I recommend that you be shy with the glue and only use a little and leave the center blank otherwise the glue seeps through the center hole and can cloud the sequin even when it dries clear.  Tie a free loop of gold baker's twine and use a glue dot to secure it.
Actually a part of this card was an accident- a happy one though-  I wanted to use pool party marker to color the center and found it was a bit too dark a contrast. So I tried tangerine tango but that was too dark too so I tried Soft sky then pumpkin pie and then I realized  I liked the alternating colors more than the single color.  It does look better in person though with the sparkles here and there.

Try your color combos - I thought I would try white embossing on melon mambo CS for a girl's birthday card.....  Have Fun!
Lynda

Simply Stars Birthday

You know, there was this card I had in my head but when I made it, it was really disappointing and not the way I dreamed it at all.  So a little tweaking of the color, then some tweaking of the layout then I checked my stash to see what DSP would go with what I had in mind and this Kaleidoscope DSP fit the bill the best so the card was changed again to what it became.  It was one of the four projects we made as part of my monthly stamp camp and it really grows on me.
The base card is Bermuda Bay, then a layer of whisper white stamped with the 2 stars in strawberry slush.
I put a strip of  2"DSP on the right then put some stars punched from Silver Glimmer paper. Stamp the large Star from Simply Stars and punch or cut it out ( I would like to implore with Stampin' Up to bring back all the star punches!!!!)   Stamp the sentiment in black onto whisper white and color with markers then die cut with the Chalk Talk die then mount with Dimensionals.  So simple but a great birthday card for that girl or boy in your life!

Enjoy.   Lynda
