Sending Love centerfold card

 Sending Love centerfold card

I am going blind with Presbyopia (that's a medical term for old eyes!) so in order for me to see what I am typing I am changing the font to Large - I hope it does not bug you.

I love mail boxes and I've bought many of these but this was so cute - I love how it opens and when you close it it perfectly fits over the opening so I had to have it - and love the folded envelope and the ribbon die.
basecard is Poppy  parade 8/1/2 x 5 1/2 folded in half to create A2 card ( 4 1/4x 5 1/2) Diecut piece to make the panel.
top panel on front 4x 5 1/2- use cloud stencil with blue ink of your choice to create soft clouds behind the mail box
mailbox- gray granite
grass- Green apple green
Wood stand- pecan pie
use a small brad to make the black flag pop up and move
the letter is pool party with poppy cardstock for the ribbon die and hearts.

stamp the sentiment in black and punch it out with a circle punch or circle die- I used the circle dies from Reach for the Stars stampset and coordinating dies.

inside - use regular cardstock -not thick - 5 1/4 x10 inches scored with long side across the top at 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 inches and fold as shown.

Stamp the sentiments and side stripes and attach some punched out diecut hearts as shown. make sure they don't peek out when you close the card though.

You can enclose a secret message if you want since the letter come out- the ribbon is adhered to the back side.

Happy Valentine's Day - See's Candies lollypop covered

I always like to make a little treat for my staff and had limited time. This was a simple thing that took no time at all.  Take a box of lollypops from See's candies.

I covered it with 4x 1 inch strips of DSP from From my heart DSP (Stampin' up retired). then I took the Heart doilies (retired but so cute- I bought extra when it was available and stuck it on the front with a dimensional.

Stamped the sentiment from Gumball Greetings on 1/2 inch strips of white CS and punched it with the Pick a banner punch to make the banner. Add a little red rhinestone over the i to add a little

sparkle.  Add some heart stickers to add interest. Easy peasy sweet little treats made in no time at all. Made 20 of them in less than an hour. Valentine's saved!

Heart to Heart homemade DSP

 Isn't this pretty?
THe base card is Flirty Flamingo with a layer of From my heart Specialty DSP - it has a metallic shine.  Took a piece of whisper white and stamped the flowers in flamingo then I used the Granny Apple Green to stamp the leaves then red flowers until I filled the whole piece of paper with the flowers and leaves.  I used the real red marker to add a few dots in clusters of 3 and it makes it so much more interesting.

Stamp the sentiment on a whisper white piece diecut with Stitched Rectangle Die and mount it also on red cardstock and mount the whole thing with dimensionals.  I also added a little heart sequin (retired)

Valentine Heart Foil Tins

So Cute! the Heart doily fits the Heart Foil Tins perfectly.
The DSP has little hearts that you can punch out with the scallop heart punch.
Stamp the dotted heart outline and the sentiment in red and punch out.
I got a little smudge on the white while I was working on it and the From My Heart Faceted Gems fit there perfectly.  Ha Ha Ha.
Cut 2 strips of Real Red 3/8" double stitched satin ribbon underneath the doily to mimic arrows.
Fill with treats and give to someone special. You can also put a message on the bottom of the tin underneath the treats as well.

a little valentine's treats for my office coworkers

Remember these?  I had bought these for my kids but I had a bunch I bought and they are not now too " grown up to take these to their friends so they are going to my Gorwn up friends at work.  Easy to make and it was well appreciated.

These were some treats made by my friends, Diedre, Hermelinda and Mercedes- I always want to document these before I eat them because they are precious to me and I want to be able to look back and remember in case I want to case them for future treats.

Happy Valentine's Day- Card and Owl Treat bag

This was a fun little Valentine that we made as a bonus during our February workshop.  The basecard is real red with a strip of Sending Love DSP on the side.  Diecut the right side with the Love Notes framelit.

You want to emboss with Falling Petals embossing folder but put the embossing plates from the Big Shot only to where you want the texture to go so you don't encroach on the hearts to the right.

Stamp little hearts with Sealed with Love set and diecut them out- I like the little white around the edge that offsets it from the background with this die.  Stamp Happy Valentine's day in red ink onto a Stitched Circle cut out of whisper white CS.  Layer on top of the lacy doily.   It looked a bit empty so I was playing with silver thread and cord and ftinally settled on the Sunshine Wishes thinlits dies - I used the flower looking thing because I liked the loop de-loop  of the thicker glittery shimmer paper over the thread that seemed be lost.
I was vising with Mercedes Weber on her workshop in San Jose and she gave me this adorable treat from the February Paperpumpkin kit. Details on her blog here:  http://mercedesweber.blogspot.ca/2017/02/valentine-owl.html

Now that my kids are older they are not doing Valentine swaps- where did the time go? - now I have to justify buying all the Valentine stuff -   Anyhoo,  I just loved it and I thought I should make it for my office staff who work so hard all the time.  With the kit it was super speedy although diecutting the wings with the heart die from the Love Notes framelit took the longest.

The Owl is done with Pink Pirouette CS- the body is made from the Best Badge punch with the heart that comes with the kit stamped with sentiment from same.  Love the little heart outline that fits inside the heart and the sentiment  and the heart nose is from the owl builder punch in Peekaboo Peach.  Take 3/8 inch strip and punched a bunch of hearts in a row to make assembly line style.
Googly eyes and tiny clothspins from local craft shop Beverly's. (Love my Mother in Law who gave me a gift card this year for my birthday to this store- all used up already!)  With this precut bag already with tape on it, it was really speedy once I finished all the owls-  So Sweet!  That's why Mercedes is Artisan again this year! A badge Owl.......so creative.
see my basket of owl valentine treats for my wonderful staff.....

Sealed with Love Card by Consensus

This was one of my projects for January Stampin' with Lynda - the funny thing is that I am usually so crazy busy that although I have four projects for the evening, I am usually working on the last one at the last minute.  I had this one in mind but something just wasn't right with it.  The base cared was really red with the vellum diecut with the heart border on the right.  I added the rhinestones on the white vellum between the hearts and that helped.  Stamped the sentiment in real red and added it in the center.  Diecut the pirouette pink hearts and crumbcake heart with stripes and gold foil heart but still something not right.  Hermelinda suggested the gold foil strip on the left and the big heart from the Sunshine wishes and that really made the card feel "right".    In cooking "too many cooks can spoil the broth" but in stamping- the more the merrier!
Thanks for visiting!

Happy Valentine's Day

This was a relatively easy Valentine's Day prep for me.  We had made this before and the kids were involved in making their own treats for their friends.  Given that we had to make over 60 it was so nice to have a die that made it easy.  We used Flower Frenzy Bigz L die and overlapped one of the petals to secure it. We used  one of the other 5 petal flower to create the sepal in green. We punched a quarter inch hole in the center to put the lolly pop through.
I used a one sheet of sticky paper and cut it into strips, had the kids stamp happy valentine's day onto one side and write the name of the recipient and their name on the other.
We then peeled and stuck it together kind of pushing it up on the flower to secure the flower petals and sepal.
For my Stampin' Party in February I was given so many hostess gifts, I wanted to show you some sampling.

This one to the right is from Mercedes Weber - a sweet little treat bag with a tag with the donut that just kills me- now I have to get THAT DSP!
This treat box is from Marisa who used the tag topper punch and the die from Chalk Talk for this darling triangle box.  Too cute for me to open!

This is a treat from annette using Hey Valentine stampset with Happy Heart EF- love sneaking that treat out without damaging the package!
These are cards from Lin which I love- everyone knows my weakness for bicycles- I can't pass up a great bicycle stamp espeically when they have sweet fillable baskets on them...

How blessed I am to so many wonderful friends!
Margery, Hermelinda, Jean, all your treats were eaten and well appreciated!

My Valentine make and take- late posting

I had a bit of trouble with my blog sign in and some "Cookie" problem  and could not figure out how to clear it so had difficulty posting on my blog- now that my IT genius brother cleared it up for me in a matter of 2 seconds (after 4 weeks of frustration by me) I can get back to posting the backlog of posts I had to share with you.

This was one of my make and takes for last month- trying to find a good way to use the hearts from the More Amore Specialty DSP. The Very Vanilla base looked too plain so I added the elegant lines EF.
I wanted to use the tags from That's the ticket so I stamped the ones I wanted using real red ink and punched it out with the Ticket Duo Builder punch.  Then I added a strip of real red CS and embossed the hearts from Adorning Accents- perfect for Valentine.  Then the heart from Hearts a flutter was stamped and diecut. I added a little banner from Boyond plaid stamped with crumbcake.  I think this is one of my most versatile stamp right now- using it for backgrounds, fabric, add a little texture, love it!  And then of course my favorite accent from the spring catalog - the 5/8 flower trim and added a few pearls for that little sparkle.
Sorry so late posting this.  But the layout would work with any accent  using the other tickets.  More to come.
