Splitcoast Sketch Challenge 405
SC405 challenge is such a great simple layout I had to try it out. It's just that I did not have a large selection of "large" sentiments to use. Then I found this one I had from CTMH and then remembered this little girl from MFT (isn't she sweet? Some people collect dolls, I collect sweet little girl stamps- tee hee) Stamped her on whisper white with Memento black colored her in with crumbcake, bashful blue and real red and Blush Blossom for skin. Paper pieced the umbrella out of Crumbcake, and then the jacket using the Summer smoochesDSP. The words were stamped with Bashful blue and real red. Layered the white CS on the same colors (I find repetition is something I like to do- use whatever you are using 3 times and it creates a better balanced card. - I tried to layer the white on just the blue and it seemed wrong somehow - with the hint of red, it seemed more "balanced" - just sayin'. )

Best Medicine
I have a weakness for this little girl- stamp by Heather Ellis for MFT - had the little girl with a bear for a while and just got the nurse one and thought I would pair it up.
Base card is real red with a piece of SU DSP. Stamped the sentiment on the bottom in black and wrapped real red satin ribbon as shown before adhering it down.
I stamped the 2 girls onto whisper white and colored it in using my cop*c markers. I also die cut the armchair- from cottage cuts die that I bought from a LSS from an old SU DSP (from sale-a-bration eons ago that I have 5 extra packs). Accented the creases with blue marker to create shade and mounted it with dimensionals to make it more 3D.
In the stamp the girl with the bear is actually standing but I cut her knees off and scalloped the skirt to make it look like she is sitting and added extra dimensionals to make her knee s pop up more under the bear whose legs ar -sorta- fold forward. Hard to see her but I hope you ge the idea. Just round off her knees at the top and you can make any standing figure sit!
Enjoy!

My day off
The office is undergoing demolition so it was closed for a day and it gave me a chance to catch up on my laundry, grocery shopping and of course on my way home from the grocery I HAD to stop by my favorite LSS to see what new stuff they got from CHA. I have bought Pure Innocence by Heather Ellis on line as a digistamp years ago before MFT started to carry it- and lo and behold this LSS carried some of it- cost a little more but I like local stores to survive and I love to touch and feel stuff I buy so I don't mind paying a little extra to support the local stores. This was an Easter stamp but I thought it could be a St Paddy's day- You know my rules- I have to be able to use the stamp for at least 3 different things to buy it-
Used an old wood frame to selectively emboss the polka dot EF from Stampin Up. The Sentiment is from Teeny tiny wishes- stamped the image in black and colored with copics as shown- I thought about paper piecing but I drew extra heart shapes on the dress to make a clover so I just colored it in with little polka dots. the basket I colored in T9 to make it look like a pot of gold and the eggs were colored with gold pen to make it look like coins. I think it is so sweet.....
Hope you have a lucky day!

Sweetchild challenge WT264
This was a little card I made for the SCS challenge WT264 using a sweet child image. Unfortunately the site won't let me upload my cards right now for some technical glitch since they changed their server few weeks ago- They are trying to sort it out but sigh, you can only see this here......
Anyhow, I have been dying to use this Pure inn*cence image from Heather Elis who has an on line store selling downloadable digital images - she now also sells things through MFT in clear stamps- is she not the sweetest thing?
Base card is Real Red. The paper is something I picked up at Paper S*urce eons ago- not sure the name. I paper pieced it for the dress as well.
The white CS was run through Bigshot using the perfect polkadot with a oval frame on top to leave the center open then I scored it using the frame itself- a little trick I am showing at my workshop this Friday. Stamped the image in center and colored with Cop*cs.
Have a blooming good day!
