Seasonal Layers One Big Measing

I really like clean and simple cards.  This one has base of Tangerine Tango with whisper white on top diecut with the outline maple leaf.  Stamp the sentiment from One Big Meaning with Cherry Cobbler on top and Old Olive on the bottom.  Diecut a scrap piece of whisper white with the skeleton maple leaf die and sponge it with Tangerine, old olive and cherry cobbler as shown.  Put adhesive on the outline maple and layer the skeleton leaf sponged on top of the white leaf.  Sprinkle dazzling diamonds to have it stick to the white parts.  I put some glue dots behind the leaf and curled the edges to pop it up
a bit.  Offset it a bit to show some of the Tangerine CS behind the leaf.
Really simple and clean card- just the way I love it.

CC636 and F4A379- look ma, no stamps!

I'd forgotten how fun it is to answer challenges-  Splitcoast color challenge this week was for Old Olive, Tangelo Twist and Cherry Cobbler.  Free for all challenge on friday was F4A379- a card with no stamping-  with all the new dies it was easy to follow.  My twins are away at camp and I had some rare  time to myself.
The base is Cherry Cobbler with a layer of whisper white with 3 squares cut out.  I guess you could use a square punch or ide if you had one.  Diecut the left edge with the large scallop die from the Seasonal LayersThinlits die from the new 2017-2018 catalog and a thin scallop
using Old olive  cardstock .  Use two way glue to add dazzling diamonds glitter around the square opening. - you could use double stick tape too t o make it more even.  Put a square piec of old olive, tangerine and cherry cobble behind each square and adhere to the base card.  Diecut 3 maple leaves from the same Seasonal Layers Thinlits die - isn't it Gorgeous?  - love this die set-  it has a branch, flowers, snowflakes and a adirondek chair - an amazing set-  I wanted a little saying and this fit the best- retired Greetings Thinlits in tangerine.  Make sure you use the steel plate to diecut the leaves to make the details pop out cleanly.

Beautiful You Memory of a Cartwheel

Eons ago in junior high school I was a cheerleader and I remember learning to do cartwheels- I was never one for athletics- more the brain type but it was really fun until I broke my leg running across the football field- oh, well.   I looked at this stamp and wondered if I could make it look like that was what she was doing and tried several different ways to make it work and this is what came out.  The base card is 8 1/2 x 7 1/3 folded in half to 8 1/2 x 3 2/3 (basically a 1/3 of 11 inches)  It will fit into a business size envelope.  Stamped a mask of the girl first and cut it out. then stamped her from the right to the left, masking each image before the next stamping. It's just one layer clean and simple. Colored it in using Berry Burst, Crumbcake and Pool party as shown and did the cloud with a scallop circle mask although hard to see here.  I cut out a mask to sponge in the beach to make it look like she was doing it at the beach.  Enjoy!

Crafting forever with Beautiful You

Crafting Forever set is slowly growing on me.  The intricate pen got my brain thinking and I want it to have a hand around it like the Escher print.  Anyhow, I wanted to make it look like it was drawing something and when I was looking around the images from Beautiful You looked like it would fit the bill- so here is my little card. Base is the new Fresh Fig with a layer of Powder pink.  Stamped the image and sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black and water colored it with some fresh fig. Punched the sentiment with the pretty label punch with a powder pink layer behind it and put a strip of fresh fig behind it.  The pen was colored with Lemon lime twist, Berry blast, and Tranquil tide markers.

More stamps please!

Margery stamped this sentiment for me on a sticker and I did really laugh and laugh.  Took berry blast base. Stamped the girl from Pure Innocence from MFT called Pucker Up. It is a lemonade stand that I took out the pitcher and glass.  Stamped the sign, scissors, marker and card from Totally Tess (retired Stampin'Up) to make her a stamper! I'm going to have to see if I can change her expression.....

Crafting forever with friends

When I saw this sentiment from the new Stampin Up catalog I though it perfect for this stamp from MFT Pure innocence. Base it the new Berry Blast. Stap the image in Memento black and color in with berry and lime as shown.  The label bracket punch (retired) in berry blast behind the sentiment punched with 1 3/8 inch circle punch fits perfect- mounted with dimensionals over a strip of Washi.  Super simple card for any of my friends.......

A Fairy Garden

I am sad to see Botanical Garden retire.  It was so useful for all the flowers that came with it and loved the diecuts.  The F4A377 challenge on splitcoast was "what's in your garden?"
With work and home life so hectic, I don't feel like there is much time to play.  I was supposed to be doing some catch-up work today but decided to give myself a break and browse splitcoast and found the challenge and thought I would try it and this is what came up.  Strangely I feel more serene and happy now.
The basecard is Wisteria Wonder with a layer of pink pirouette - stamped with some stems on the bottom in old olive .  Stamped the fairies and sentiment in memento tuxedo black and colored
it in with variety of colors; real red, old olive, wisteria, pink pirouette and flesh colored alcohol marker.  Punched the sentiment with Pretty Label punch and added a layer of wisteria behind it.
Die cut a bunch of different colored flowers, the middle black stamen is from the sale-a-bration set Avant Gardens.  the wings of the fairies have glitter on them although hard to see a bit.
Litle pearls in the center of the flowers - some popped with dimensionals.

The Horse Frontier birthday with wooden crate for Gabrielle

My sister's stepdaughter had birthday and is an avid rider. When I got the wooden crate die and one of the panels looked like it could be a wall in the barn so I thought I would use it.  The base card is variation on the one I use for pop up box card.
Take a 4 1/2 x 11 inch Cherry Cobbler CS here and score it at 1/2", 2 1/2", 5 3/4", 7 3/4" (here from the left).  Score 1 3/4 " across from the bottom.  Cut away the top part except for the last panel which will become the back of the barn to decorate.
THis is what it looks like from the top.  I took a 3x3 sheet of DSP from the same wood pack - the one that looks like white washed wood.  Decorated it with birthday diecuts colored in with melon mambo, tangerin tango, daffodil delight, wisteria wonder and pool party markers.  (not sure on the make of the dies though, sorry)

The horse is from the Horse Frontier set from eons ago fussy cut and attached using a 4 3/4 strip scored 1/2 inch on both sides and attached as shown.  The pocket behind the horse if for the little $$ I slip in.
Attach the little horseshoe from the same set colored  with smoky slate on the front.

The pile of hay and the water trough is from MFT the Whole Herd set mounted with dimensionals.
you can flatten it one direction or another to mail it.  The horse is so realistic- I hope Gabs loves it!

Circuitboard Thank you

I had gotten lots of stampsets with game ideas on them because all my kids are always on the computer or DS or something game related. But when he needed a card to send, Tyler told me he did not want any cards with game ideas on them and he chose this simple circuit board design as his signature. Actually I like it too.  The circuitboard stamp is from CTMH.  Thank you from A-muse Essential Sentiments set.
I used Smooch Gold Lame to add a little sheen of gold on the contact points.  A clean and simple card- my favorite kind.  I think next time I will put the circuitboard on a green color square to make it even more circuit board like.....

My Recollections Mermaid

I can't help myself.  Every time I see a mermaid stamp I have to have it.  This mermaid was one I found at Michaels from Recollections.  It even came with a matching die for the body and tail separate. It is such a tight die that there is no white halo around it which I absolutely LOVE!  I had this card in my head and been collecting this and that for it. Basecard is Emerald Envy.  A layer of Pool Party on top stenciled with TCW Mini Kelp Forest with Pool Party inkpad and sponge dauber.  The ornate oval die I bought at a used stampsale - it's from Simply Refined- Home together flourish frame die.  Bought it for $8 and I thought it looked undersea-like with all the waves in it.  The seaweed and the little shells die are from  Taylored Expressions and the turtles are from Memorybox. I used Pearl Paper for the turtles and curry and pink pirouette and coral for the shells.  I used shimmer paper for the tail part and chocolate chip for the body and inked the body with retired alcohol ink in flesh.  the sequins and pearl are from Stampin' Up Sprinkles embellishments  and I used Clear Wink of Stella on the hair and tail to add a shimmer (although hard to see).   It is such a pretty little card.  Stampin' Up has a new mermaid stampset so you know I will have to get it.....
